An afternoon of community and celebration

Join us! Mosey through participating Highland Park businesses and front porches. Enjoy lemonade, live music, door prizes, and neighborly camaraderie!
View the Historical Society’s exhibit on the homes of Highland Ave, check out the Alabama Audubon and the Greenbriar at the Altamont, enjoy lemonade on several porches of historic Highland Ave homes with neighbors, and wrap up at Rojo’s side room for more music and sharing ideas for future iterations of this soon to be annual event.
Donations welcome and will benefit Friends of Highland Park, Birmingham Historical Society, and Alabama Audubon.

C – Birmingham Historical Society – 2827 Highland Ave
Tour this non-profit responsible for researching, publishing and promoting the history and heritage of our community. They will have a new exhibit on display: “Highland Houses, Photographs of the Grand Avenue in 1939”. They will also have books on Birmingham available for purchase, including It’s Nice to Live in Birmingham, a reprint of the 1963 classic that launched our city’s motto!
D – Greenbriar at the Altamont – 2831 Highland Ave
While exploring Greenbriar’s beautiful courtyard and lobby, enter a drawing for a Rojo gift card*! They will also have a 7th floor apartment open for touring.
(*No purchase necessary to enter the drawing, although donations are encouraged!) 100% of proceeds will benefit Friends of Highland Park, Birmingham Historical Society, and Alabama Audubon.

Enjoy some front porch sittin’, lemonade sippin’, and live music all while learning about this home’s history.
G – Rojo After-Party – 2921 Highland Ave
At 5pm, make your way over to the side-room at Rojo for live Dixieland Jazz by Chuck and the Kings. The drawing winners will be announced (note you do not have to be present to win in which case you do need to have provided your email address when entering the drawing) and there will be a suggestion box – tell us how we can make this event even better next year!
